The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has given unparalleled service to Hong Kong and the region since its foundation in 1911, drawing on the great cultural traditions of the East and West. To fulfil our mission, the International Affairs Office (IAO) of the Academic Liaison Office (ALO) of the Registry is established to maintain closer communication with overseas institutions in the aspects of student exchange, academic collaboration and cultural activities.

Objectives

• To build close connections with overseas universities and educational organisations.
• To provide updated information on international affairs.
• To fully utilise resources and develop potential overseas markets.
• To promote HKU and maintain the University’s international status.
