Established in 2010, Nazarbayev University is a modern, English-speaking research university located in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the heart of Eurasia. As the flagship academic institution of Kazakhstan, NU is committed to being a model of higher education reform and modern research; to contribute to the establishment of Astana as an international knowledge, innovation, and medical hub; and to prepare students for a world of increasing volatility, complexity, and ambiguity. There are seven schools and faculties in NU, offering 22 undergraduate, 30 master, and 16 PhD programs.
