The university-wide Mentorship Programme is designed to build inspirational exchanges, and co-create a mutually enriching friendship between Mentors and Mentees. This programme was established in 1997. Every year, over 500 pairs of mentors and mentees are matched in Hong Kong and globally.
1. Who are the Mentors?
Mentors are HKU alumni and friends. From different professional fields and areas of expertise, they are ready to share depth and breadth of experiences.
2. What are the benefits?
Through this one-year programme, based in Hong Kong, student Mentees will be matched with a Mentor who becomes a teacher and friend; a listener and advocate; an advisor and coach. Mentors and mentees are matched based on mentees’ aspirations and mentors’ experiences. Start this transformative mentorship journey and make your university life different. Follow our social media (IG, LinkedIn, FB and YouTube) and learn more about the stories of our Mentors and Mentees.
3. How to engage?
We encourage mentors and mentees to maintain communications and exchange of ideas via face-to-face meetings, phone calls, emails and text messages as appropriate. A series of events will also be organised by the Mentorship Office throughout the year. Our last 25th Anniversary reunion in June 2023…
