Asian Autumn: Blockchain HKU x HKBU x France


Blockchain is now one of the hottest topics not only in Fintech but also in a wide range of domains. From the arts to the business sector, blockchain technology is increasingly becoming an essential part of the future development of the field. France is one of the pioneers in Blockchain hosting the largest annual conference on blockchain in Europe: the Paris Blockchain Week Summit. On the other hand, Hong Kong is the international financial hub of Asia with a strong focus on future technology of which Blockchain is an important pillar.


The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao and Campus France is thrilled to be joined by The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and 4 prestigious French institutions specialising in different fields. They include IESEG School of Management, Skema Business School, École Centrale de Nantes and ECV (Creative Schools and Communities). Two cross-discipline panel discussions will be held and students and professors alike will engage in a stimulating exchange of ideas regarding Blockchain in different professional fields. Opportunities that France offers in terms of higher education in this field will also be presented to you.

As the use of Blockchain technology is becoming more and more widespread in a wide spectrum of domains, so are the questions regarding its security issues arising. In this panel discussion, we are going to explore the security challenges in different sectors in order for the audience to get a more well-rounded understanding of Blockchain technology.
