CCSE is one of the HKU Summer Institute's most acclaimed initiatives, dedicated to fostering knowledge sharing and expanding its participants' global networks. The programme offers secondary school students a rich and immersive learning experience, combining interactive academic sessions, lectures by faculty members, and exclusive social activities.
Secondary school participants join small-group academic sessions led by teaching fellows recruited from HKU and internationally renowned universities. Each group is co-taught by two fellows, who collaboratively design a curriculum that draws on their areas of expertise and covers a broad range of topics such as humanities, history, sustainability, and social issues.
These academic sessions are highly interactive and tailored to the unique backgrounds of the participants. Throughout the programme, students work collaboratively within their groups on a capstone project, which they present on a chosen topic during the Closing Ceremony.
