Established in 1856, the University of Chicago is a private research university based in the urban center of Chicago, the third most populous city in the United States. Outside of the Ivy League, Chicago is one of America’s top universities, and holds top-ten positions in various national and international rankings.
Beyond the arts and sciences, Chicago has a glowing reputation for its professional schools, including the Pritzker School of Medicine, the Booth School of Business, and the Harris School of Public Policy Studies. University of Chicago alumni are responsible for the development of many academic disciplines, such as sociology, economics, law, and literary criticism. 
The college’s crest sees a phoenix rising from the ashes, a reference to the fire, foreclosure, and demolition of the Old University of Chicago campus, with the current University of Chicago emerging triumphantly in its place in 1890. The old university was founded through a land endowment from the controversial senator Stephen Douglas, a supporter of slavery who authored the Kansas-Nebraska act. By contrast, the new University of Chicago was co-educational and funded through donations from wealthy Chicagoans and the oil magnet John D. Rockefeller.

Established in 1927 as the Roomsch Katholieke Handelshoogeschool (Roman Catholic Business School), Tilburg University has now, nearly a century later, grown into a thriving, medium-sized, multi-disciplinary university specialising in humanities and social sciences. Inspired by a drive towards broad prosperity, Tilburg's continuously works towards improving wellbeing for all through its engagement in themes including mental and preventive healthcare, building inclusive labour market, energy transition, and digitalisation in its education and research efforts. University of Oxford

Oxford is the oldest University in the English-speaking world and today the city is bursting with beautiful architecture and buzzing with lively cafés, restaurants and bars. Exeter is right in the heart of it where you will be welcome to spend time in the College’s tranquil gardens, historic dining hall and impressive Neo-Gothic Chapel at the ancient Turl St. site (1315) while living in a modern, single, en suite accommodation and enjoying state-of-the-art facilities at the Cohen Quadrangle (2017).
Students at Oxford come from all academic disciplines and all parts of the world but what they have in common is a passion for learning.
Oxford offers a wide range of cross-disciplinary lecture courses taught by leading scholars in their fields. All teaching is modelled on the personalised, small-group, discussion-based learning which is the basis of all undergraduate teaching in Oxford. Or, if research interests you or you are working towards a senior thesis or considering applying to graduate school, you have the option of working 1-to-1 with an expert in your field on your chosen subject on our Independent Research Tutorial.
The Exeter College Summer Programme (ECSP) offers a wide range of cross-disciplinary lecture courses taught by leading scholars. If you enjoy research, are working towards a senior thesis, or are considering applying to graduate school, you can opt for a self-directed research tutorial and work 1-to-1 with an expert. All teaching in ECSP is modelled on Oxford University's world-renowned tutorial system - personalised, small-group, discussion-based learning, which is the basis of all undergraduate teaching at Oxford.
