Fellowship Scheme

Imagine an immersive leadership opportunity that elevates students’ academic journey and accelerates their professional growth - The Cross Cultural Summer Enrichment Programme (CCSE) Fellowship Scheme is NOW open, inviting talents to unlock their full potential and make a meaningful impact.
The high-caliber undergraduate/postgraduate students will be selected and served as teaching fellows, developing curricula within their specialised fields, and engaging in teaching to generate new ideas through interactions with secondary school students. Participation in CCSE encourages reflection on Eastern and Western pedagogies and fosters cultural exchange. The programme also offers city explorations in Hong Kong (and Shanghai for the Business and Innovation Track), providing unique opportunities for professional and cross-cultural development.
Supported by dedicated funding, student participants will be fully sponsored to travel from home country to HKU Main Campus and/or HKU @ Shanghai. Accommodation and allowance are fully covered as well. Don't miss the chance to embark on this extraordinary journey and be part of this impactful initiative!
This year we have two tracks for applicants to consider:

We are currently accepting applications for the cohort of July 2027. APPLY NOW!
We now invite YOU for this exclusive opportunity. The successful applicants will be able to nurture their innovative ideas through this programme while supported by substantial financial backing. Appointed fellows will enjoy the following benefits which allow them to focus entirely on this journey:
CCSE is one of the HKU Summer Institute's most acclaimed initiatives, dedicated to fostering knowledge sharing and expanding its participants' global networks. The programme offers secondary school students a rich and immersive learning experience, combining interactive academic sessions, lectures by faculty members, and exclusive social activities.
Secondary school participants join small-group academic sessions led by teaching fellows recruited from HKU and internationally renowned universities. Each group is co-taught by two fellows, who collaboratively design a curriculum that draws on their areas of expertise and covers a broad range of topics such as humanities, history, sustainability, and social issues.
These academic sessions are highly interactive and tailored to the unique backgrounds of the participants. Throughout the programme, students work collaboratively within their groups on a capstone project, which they present on a chosen topic during the Closing Ceremony.
