APRU SDG Education for Global Citizenship 2025

Global Issues, Interactive Lectures and Workshops, Teamwork, One-Week of Onsite Community Engagement, Certificate of Completion
Co-designed by several prestigious APRU member universities in collaboration with the United Nations (UN), this programme consists of online orientation programme, interactive lectures and training that enrich students’ mind with knowledge of global issues and global literacy. Students will work with international peers in exploring some of the biggest challenges faced by the globe and proposing solutions to these challenges.
During the programme, students will spend 9 days in either Malaysia or Thailand for an onsite experiential learning , which is co-hosted by Universiti Malaya and Chulalongkorn University. |

This onsite programme immerses international students in the complex political, economic, social, and cultural intricacies of the Pacific Rim, with an emphasis of the Latin American viewpoint.
Through seminars, workshops, UN simulation models, networking activities, cultural nights, and mentorship opportunities, this programme enhances students’ global citizenship, knowledge and respect for cultural diversity, as well as diplomatic skills. |

*Students enrolled to this programme are eligible for Financial Assistance. Once successfully applied to APRU, students will automatically be considered for a financial assistance award amounting to HK$8,000-$10,000. A separate application is not necessary. |

This 3-week programme engages students across the globe to develop cultural competency and leadership, whilst exploring greater ideas together to tackle the world’s most pressing problems outlined in the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG).
Students can choose to attend sessions at a time that fit their schedule, allowing plenty of flexibility.
