About the Programme
Created in 2012, Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) is the largest multidisciplinary university in the French-speaking world located in the South of France. It is the unification of three honoured universities in the region established centuries ago. In 2012-17, AMU successfully merged the three universities into one major university of world renown. Nowadays, AMU has 80,000 students on 5 major campuses meeting international standards, and is present in 9 cities and 4 departments in the South of France.
AMU has now forged partnerships all over the world, asserted its roots and territorial integration, and ranks among France's top universities in the Shanghai rankings. It is a multi-disciplinary university structured around five disciplinary sectors including Arts, Letters, Languages and Humanities; Law and Political Science; Economics and Management; Health; and Science and Technology. These sectors spread over 17 faculties and schools.
With more than 830,000 m² of real estate assets that spread across the South of France, AMU is dedicated in upgrading and modernizing its campuses, allowing it to be the winner of the "Opération Campus" program. It is now a key player in its region, actively contributing to its development and influence.
