Far Eastern Federal University - Exchange Programme

Far Eastern Federal University is the only classical university in Eastern Russia. It incorporates schools with generations-old traditions and areas of research that form the core of our intellectual base.

Over 120 years of its history, Far Eastern Federal University has remained today the main representatives of Russian higher education in the Asia-Pacific region, the only Russian university that is a member of the Association of Pacific RimUniversities, the first Russian university with a unique infrastructure in a single, modern campus, and the first Russian university that opened a school specializing in Data Economy.

Situated on the edge of both Europe and Asia, the University follows the most important trends. Accordingly, 2.4 billion rubles have been allocated for FEFU’s R&D projects which are conducted in 368 hi-tech laboratories, 20 research and education centers, and 22 medical and science research units. The research and development projects are focused in spheres that are of great global importance. Our projects in oceanography, underwater robotic engineering, and eco-friendly architecture, among others, have gained international recognition.
