About the Programme

Founded in 1878, the University of Montreal is a French-language public research university in Montreal, Quebec, and one of the top higher education institution in Canada. Committed to excellence, the UdeM rests its mission on supporting members of its community to create, disseminate, and harness knowledge in service of the common good. The University provides each member of its student community with meaningful academic, educational, and practical life experiences to help them become agents of influence and change in their spheres.

UdeM comprises of 13 faculties, over 60 departments and 2 affiliated schools: HEC Montreal (School of Business) and Ecole Polytechnique (School of Engineering). As one of the largest university complexes in North America, the University offers over 600 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with comprehensive array of courses across a range of disciplines, including Arts and Music, Education, Environmental Design, Humanities and Social Sciences, Pure and Applied Science etc. Known for its vibrant and multicultural environment, UdeM houses over 36,000 students on campus, of which 11,000 are International students.
