About the Programme

Founded in 1905, the University of Sheffield is a public research university in Sheffield, England, renowned for its distinctive research-led learning and teaching. With the mission of bringing positive and meaningful differences to the world, the university emphasizes on delivering life-enhancing research, innovation, and education that not only transforms the lives of graduates, but shapes the wider society as a whole. Proud of its history of discovery, Sheffield pioneered the very first medical use of penicillin in 1930, and more recently, developing three lifesaving drugs – Lynparza, Zejula, and Talzenna for the treatment of ovarian and breast cancer.

The university continuously looks to the wider world for inspiration and collaboration, welcoming students and staffs from over 140 countries, and nurturing alumni links across the world. It is currently home to over 30,000 students, of which over 30% are international students. Sheffield is divided into five traditional faculties and one international faculty, with 50 academic departments offering 350 courses across 75 different subject areas.
