Attending Pre-departure Briefing allows students to get well-prepared before they study abroad.

At the briefing, not only will you learn from Academic Advising Office (AAO) academic advisor of how to prepare for the academic study, you will also learn from Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) advisor of how to adjust to cultural shock and take note of safety issues in a new environment. Meanwhile, HKU Overseas Mentorship Programme will be introduced (applicable to semester exchange students only) in which you could be matched with a mentor according to the specific destination.
